Obsidian Ridge Wine Co. is a Sonoma-based winery farming on volcanic land in the Mayacamas Mountains at 2,875 feet elevation. The company produces wines from two vineyards: Obsidian Ridge Vineyard, planted 20 years ago on volcanic terrain, and Poseidon Vineyard in Napa Carneros, planted in 1973. Known for cabernet sauvignon, pinot noir, and chardonnay, the winery uses Hungarian oak barrels from their own cooperage and practices sustainable farming.
