Chalone Vineyard, located in the Gavilan Mountain range above California's Salinas Valley at 1,800 feet elevation, was founded by Dick Graff in 1966 to produce Burgundian-styled Chardonnay on well-drained volcanic terrain. The estate focuses on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with limited production of Pinot Blanc, Chenin Blanc, and Syrah, with all wines grown and bottled at the estate. Chalone Vineyard is now part of Foley Family Wines' portfolio.
