The Opportunity

We are looking for an Auction Property Specialist to join our Delaware team. This hands-on role is responsible for managing physical auction property throughout the intake process—from receiving and assessing incoming property through identification, photography, packaging, and handoff to the warehouse. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with wine and fragile inventory, and able to recognize when an item needs additional review. You will work closely with our Auction Specialists, Logistics, and other teams to ensure property is accurately received, documented, processed, and handled with care.

What You'll Do

• Receive and accurately document consignor property in the company’s inventory system.

• Identify and document items not included on the expected inventory and flag them for Specialist review.

• Use working wine knowledge to identify bottle details such as producer, vintage, size, condition, label information, and packaging.

• Identify potential product concerns, discrepancies, or damage and escalate them for appropriate review.

• Photograph auction property using specialized photography equipment and prepare images for upload.

• Organize and handle high-value bottles with care and attention to detail.

• Follow established standards for wine identification, handling, packaging, and movement of property.

• Communicate progress and any issues to the team.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked intake area.

• Assist with property pickups, which may involve occasional local travel.

• Support special projects and other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Interest in wine and/or working knowledge of wine; willingness and ability to develop additional wine knowledge through training.

• Experience with inventory systems, data entry, or tracking systems preferred.

• Basic Microsoft Office skills.

• Ability to quickly learn new technology and company systems.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to safely handle fragile and high-value inventory.

• Ability to safely operate manual and electric pallet jacks after training.

• Reliable, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a hands-on environment.

• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

• Ability to stand and walk for most of the workday.

• Comfortable working in a refrigerated/chilled warehouse environment.

• Ability to safely use warehouse equipment after appropriate training.

• Some local travel may be required for property pickups.

Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
