Range Master – Flat Range
Position Summary: The Range Master is responsible for maintaining the safety and operational flow of the flat range. The individual in this role is knowledgeable about gun safety and is aware of the surroundings of the course to ensure that club rules are followed and that the course equipment is functioning to club standards. It is critical that the Range Master demonstrates tactful and clear communication with members and club staff to maintain a safe and enjoyable shooting experience.
This is a non-exempt (hourly), on-call position with core working hours Friday through Sunday.

Essential Duties:
• Demonstrates flat range operations to members and guests • Provides safety instructions and coaches members on safe shooting practices • Oversees or monitors activities on the flat range and takes appropriate action when there are unsafe activities or violations of club rules • Operates golf cart or ATV • Provides shooting lessons • Works as a team with ranch hands to maintain rage cleanliness • Oversees maintenance of flat range by ranch hands • Communicates to management when there are member issues or concerns • Other duties as may be assigned

Required Attributes: • Good communication skills and ability to engage positively with members and staff • Keen attention to detail and awareness of the environment • Excellent problem-solving skills
Education/Experience Bachelor’s Degree, High School Diploma, or GED • 3-5 years of experience operating/maintaining safety on a gun range • Experience as a shooting instructor • Range safety officer or firearms instructor certification (e.g., NRA RSO or equivalent) is a plus
Computer Skills
Ability to use a smart phone or tablet to access email and time clock application.
