Job Summary:

The Warehouse Lead plays a critical role in supporting Trinchero’s operational excellence by leading their assigned warehouse operations team, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and mentoring team members . This role combines hands on warehouse operations with an entry level leadership responsibility, emphasizing safety, efficiency, and team development to drive performance.

Safety and Compliance :

• Promote and maintain a safe working environment by following and enforcing all safety rules, reporting incidents, and taking corrective action immediately.

• Actively participate in and lead safety programs, including emergency response drills, Behavior Based Safety observations, safety committee meetings and safety tailgates.

• Ensure compliance with company policies such as PIT Safety program, GMP and SQF standards.

Operational Leadership:

• Lead daily tasks and warehouse operations including receiving, staging loading, unloading and inventory management.

• Communicate staffing needs, equipment requirements and repairs needs to management.

• Facilitates or participates in team meetings, daily huddles, town halls and discussions related to problem solving and project execution.

• Maintain accurate warehouse records, inventory tracking, and forklift operational logs.

Team Development:

• Support onboarding of new hires and training of warehouse staff including training certification and safety tailgates as well as being an effective mentor to the team.

• Mentor warehouse staff by promoting accountability and professional growth.

• Contribute to career planning, performance reviews, and professional development of the warehouse team.

• Model servant leadership by empowering employees and fostering team culture.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Participate in problem solving sessions, daily huddles and town halls.

• Actively participate in development activities that support Lean Leadership culture and continuous improvement within the department.

• Partner cross-functional teams including Quality Control, Traffic, Customer Service, Maintenance and Bottling to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

• Monitor Receiving schedules, loading/staging performance, shipment readiness report, and customer complaints.

• Manage assignments delegated by the warehouse or other departments.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of Warehouse experience; including leadership experience preferred.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Forklift Certification.

• Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlooks and Excel) ability to prepare reports.

• Basic SAP warehouse management knowledge and experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong commitment to zero-incident culture with the ability to both lead and participate in warehouse safety programs.

• Skilled are overseeing workflow, reallocating resources, and ensuring inventory and shipping accuracy.

• Proficient in warehouse operations, forklift use, and understanding GMP and SQF standards.

• Knowledge of Lean Leadership principles, focusing on continuous improvement and identifying areas of waste.

• Ability to work in a safe, efficient, and cooperative manner.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective teams and foster accountability and team growth.

• Strong written and verbal skills with ability to provide clear instructions and collaborate across departments.

• Ability to embrace change and respond to frequently changing production pressures.

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills; attention to detail and follow through.

Working Conditions:

• Moderate to heavy physical work, including lifting, bending, climbing, pulling, or squatting.

• Work site may be any one of Trinchero Family Estate’s facilities.

• Standing for long periods of time (8 hours per day).

• Extensive walking and lifting of up to 55 pounds.

• Frequent exposure to cold storage environments and warehouse working conditions.

• Concrete floors and extensive walking.

• Must comply with all safety procedures and PPE requirements (e.g. safety glasses, safety vest, and ear plugs.)

• Exposure to machinery, forklifts and related production equipment.

• Standard schedule is one shift (day shift); overtime may be required during peak business needs.

• Occasional weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Salary Range: $32.25 - $39.45

The starting pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, training, education, and geographic location.
