Ingredient Inventory Coordinator

Position Purpose
Under minimal supervision, the Ingredient Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining an accurate ingredient inventory, maximizing put away, positioning, and picking efficiency. This role supports Winemaking, Compliance, Cellar operations, and Quality Systems by reviewing the accuracy of product received and lot tracking using DV System and SAP. Responsibilities include receiving ingredients, maintaining records, stocking and pulling ingredients used in crushing, blending, and producing wines. Also provides leadership, direction, and support when working with Cellar, Food Safety Committee, Inventory team, and other departments as the subject matter expert for ingredients.
Functional Responsibility
Essential Duties
Distributes ingredients and maintains an accurate inventory by following process order instructions
Communicates with internal and external suppliers/customers to coordinate material deliveries as appropriate
Ensures ingredients are stored in properly labeled containers, performs general housekeeping, and keeps lot numbers separate
Receives/stores and distributes ingredients following the FIFO rules
Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting vendors
Monitors and maintains an accurate inventory of ingredients by using cycle counts
Operates lift truck and pallet jack to perform duties while maintaining a clean and organized work area
Collaborates with Planning, Winemaking, and Production to optimize ingredient availability
Transacts DV System/SAP moves to process inventory accurately
Attaches information placards to all ingredients received for tracking purposes
Scans all Certificates of Analysis (COA’s), Certificates of Origin (COO’s), GMO’s and Allergen Statements for each lot received and uploads them to CORKS.
Coordinates with Quality Systems and Winemaking inventory holds and releases of expired ingredients
Performs regular inventory inspections/timely inventory reconciliation, captures variances, and makes required adjustments
Coordinates transfers of materials between Delicato Family Wines locations and prepares BOL
Reviews outbound and inbound documentation to ensure transactional accuracy
Performs necessary functions for yearly inventory counts
Maintains necessary files and documentation
Ensures all documentation is processed accurately
Makes improvement recommendations and implements solutions that support the business
Carries out Skilled Material Handler duties
Provides direction, support, and training of seasonal labor by instructing them on proper procedures and correct handling of ingredients; directs their work activities throughout the day during the harvest
Prepares ingredients and documents appropriate lot numbers in support of the Federal Bioterrorism Act and Food Safety Modernization Act traceability requirements
Assigns lot numbers to ingredients (when required) and enters ingredient costing information into the DV System
Coordinates retrieval of used pallets
Creates production orders in DV System to remove ingredients used for Cellar sanitation purposes
Assists with project implementation and special projects as assigned
Supports Bulk Scale operations when needed
Supports Cellar operations when needed
Participates and supports year-end cycle counts along with requested daily cycle counts

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
3+ or more years direct or related experience in an inventory or logistics role
Certificates and Licenses
Forklift Certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of general warehouse procedures
Self-motivated and takes initiative to maintain work area in a safe, professional, and organized manner
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Must possess appropriate computer skills
Experience with RF gun use
Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with or without using a calculator
Working Conditions
Manufacturing plant/production environment
Required to drive automotive vehicle or equipment
Indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to the elements/temperature variations
Exposure to weather-related temperature & humidity extremes
Extended Hours
Shift Rotation
Required to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Exposure to varying levels of dust, chemicals, fumes, gases, and noisy equipment
Occasionally may be required to lift and carry cases of wine

typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
